Explorer Scouts continue on from scouts with a similar programme but with more independence and the chance to take their favourite activities to new limits.

Explorer scouts meet on Thursday evenings as part of the District explorer scout unit, contect the district commissioner for details or email using the link on this site.

A key part of explorer scouting is the opportunity to assist with younger sections under the young leader scheme. Explorers enrolled in this scheme undergo training similar to that for adult leaders and work with younger sections, normally Beaver or Cub, either at their own group or elsewhere in the district.

Another key area for Explorer scouts is the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and our explorers are able to undertake Bronze, Silver and Gold awards through the district supervisor.
