Beaver scouts caters for Boys and Girls aged 5 3/4 years to 8 years of age

At Chaldon we have one Beaver colony which meets on a Tuesday evening at our HQ. For more information contact our Group Scout Leader using the link on the home page or links section.

Beaver scouts meet for a 1 hour session which is usually split between crafts and games. The programme is carefully worked so that children learn and earn badges while playing and making things. In this way they don't even realise they're learning!!! BUT THEY KNOW THEY ARE HAVING FUN AND MAKING FRIENDS!!

We also try to include visits and other external activities including swimming, climbing and trips to the fire station, wildlife centre etc. to keep things varied, though this generally occurs in the warmer months.

Older Beaver scouts have the opportunity once a year to take part in a sleepover either within the group or with Beaver scouts from Caterham district.
